A Note From Our COO, Henri Jung
HELLO AGAIN!
Many doctors say they “practice” medicine or they work at a “medical practice.”  I don’t know exactly why or when doctors started using the term practice, but it certainly is an interesting word choice.
The word “practice” leaves me with two thoughts. First, it concerns me that the person I turn to when I’m ill is still “practicing,” but my second- and more positive-thought is we are all practicing what we do every day at work. We are striving to find the next level of skill and performance in our jobs, just like a sports team practices more than ever in a championship season. No matter how long you’ve been doing something or how good your record is, pushing yourself every day to do better is the best path to long term success.
Our sales team strives to better understand our customers’ needs, just as our operations and support teams are driven to have the best quality, service, and efficiency in the industry … every day.
gripSTIK Corner Bead: Vinyl is Final
By Matt Lamb, Manufacturing Engineer
I’ve noticed a problem that keeps cropping up at least once a year, year after year, from our customers: rusty bead in the bathroom. Bathrooms are one of the smallest rooms in the home, yet they’re the place with the highest humidity.
Sustainability. This is how long a structure will last without any major repairs. I can talk from experience- we recently did a full tear out of both bathrooms in our home- and after 10 years, even though the paint was kept up, you can see rusted metal beads and trims.
Why should builders and applicators still use steel corner bead in bathrooms and basements?
gripSTIK® Vinyl Corner Beads and Trims are the answer. I have been around for a while, and I have not seen a vinyl bead rust yet. The labor to install vinyl bead isn’t any more difficult. Best yet, you don’t have to rely on the wall paint to do the rust proofing.
Now don’t misinterpret me- I’m not telling you to do the whole house in vinyl, but it’s my suggestion that you should always be proactive with the problem areas such as basements and bathrooms and just use vinyl.
“Vinyl is final” in bathrooms and basements- pass it on.
