Phillips in the Legislative Eye

In light of Phillips expansions and successes, we have received attention from important political figures of the State of Nebraska. Phillips was recognized by Governor Mike Johanns in April of 2004 when the Governor came to tour the plant in Omaha recently after the new facility was up and running. As Phillips is a major manufacturing facility in the State of Nebraska, Governor Johanns was interested in our operations and was looking to recruit Phillips to attend a trade mission to China.

Phillips also received positive attention from Nebraska State Senator Chuck Hagel in 2004. Senator Hagel attended Phillips official open house celebration at the new facility in Omaha on September 12, 2004. As an advocate of economic growth in the Omaha area, Senator Hagel reached out to larger businesses, such as Phillips, that are growing and creating more employment opportunities for the citizens of Omaha. It was an honor for Phillips to have both of these government officials take interest in our operations.
