Phillips Sends Care Packages To Soldier In Iraq

Each year for Phillips Manufacturing’s CEO’s birthday, the employees of Phillips give him a charitable donation as his present. This year, Phillips employees sent care packages to U.S. soldiers stationed in Iraq.

Phillips sent nearly 50 care packages with a value of approximately $2,000 in goods to the soldiers.

Phillips received numerous “thank-you” messages from the soldiers who received the packages as well as from the National Guard. The following is an excerpt from one of the “thank-you” messages:

“You cannot imagine what a letter, card or package from home means to soldiers away from home. It raises their morale and puts a smile on their faces in a place fraught with despair. Thank you so much.”
